AQUANAUT 5168G
?>With its unmistakable porthole-inspired case design, signature embossed dial and composite rubber strap, the Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5168G "Jumbo" is an outstanding icon of contemporary luxury sports watches, and one whose timelessly cool styling simply oozes sophistication.
A superb tribute to the original Aquanaut, which was released in 1997, the 5168G "Jumbo" was produced to mark the classic collection's twentieth anniversary in 2017. Manufactured in 18ct white gold, and measuring 42.2mm across, it is some 2mm larger than its predecessor, although at only 8.25mm tall its slender profile ensures a supremely comfortable fit on the wrist.
The dark blue dial graduates to near black around its periphery and features applied white gold numerals and hour indices with Super-LumiNova accents which, together with the luminous hour and minute hands, provide excellent legibility in all light conditions. Other functions include the centre sweep seconds and date aperture at the three o'clock position.
A sapphire caseback reveals the Patek Philippe Caliber 26-330 S C self winding movement, with its 18ct gold rotor. Beating at 28'800vib/h the in-house mechanism boasts a power reserve of between 35 and 45 hours.
This example of the Aquanaut 5168G "Jumbo" is pre-owned in mint condition, and comes complete with all original boxes and paperwork. It is presented on a natural rubber strap with folding clasp and its sporting credentials are underlined with a diving rating of 120m. This watch is in mint condition and comes with its original box, warranty (dated 2019), and papers.
