SINGER REIMAGINED TRACK 1 BOLD EDITION

The latest evolution of the iconic indie watch which turned the classical chronograph display inside out, the Track 1 BOLD Edition by independent brand Singer Reimagined is a dramatic piece of contemporary watchmaking, which combines its signature groundbreaking innovation with striking contrasts and high-tech performance materials.

As one of the most outstanding and distinctive pieces of contemporary independent watchmaking in recent times, the Track 1 chronograph has challenged the technical fundamentals behind one of the most enduring and popular horological complications. With its revolutionary centralised chronograph configuration which is made possible by the state of the art self-winding mechanism which beats within, it is an award-winning piece of avant garde watch design which stands out in any company.

Clad in a stealthy all-black case which measures 43mm across, the Track 1 BOLD Edition is manufactured in hard wearing but lightweight aluminium ceramic composite, which has been developed specifically for the watch. The chronograph pushers which oppose each other at the two and ten o’clock positions are made in black DLC Grade 5 titanium, while the black dial is complemented by the classic combination of gold detailing, and the luminous orange hands elevate the dynamics of the styling to the max. Fitted to a durable fabric strap, which has black DLC titanium rivets, providing a nuanced throwback to vintage sports watches of the sixties and seventies, it is an ensemble which packs a head turning presence and exudes cool.

The hours and minutes numerals are displayed on two rings which rotate around the outer rim of the dial, with the time indicated by an orange finger marker at the six o’clock position. This clears the way for the chronograph functions to step up and away from the conventional format of subdial counters, to quite literally take centre stage. The three bright orange hands at the centre of the dial indicate the elapsed seconds, minutes and hours, all in units of sixty, meaning that the reading can be checked in a single swift glance. If it is unusual, it is quickly understood and naturally intuitive thereafter.

Behind the sapphire crystal caseback, the AgenGraphe Cal. 6361 self-winding movement by specialist movement developer Agenhor is spectacular, highly innovative and astonishingly complex.

At its very heart, a groundbreaking chronograph module seamlessly integrates with the mechanical elements around it, while to make the most of the breathtaking engineering the oscillating weight has been transferred from its traditional position between glass and movement, out of sight completely, to underneath the dial. Beating at 21’600 vph it is good for 55 hours of power reserve when fully wound.

A remarkable wristwatch in every way the Track 1 BOLD Edition will be produced in a limited edition of twenty-five pieces
