SevenFriday P2B/03 “Woody” Limited Edition

At The Limited Edition, we are very pleased to have on offer the SevenFriday P2B/03 Woody limited edition automatic wristwatch, which features a super cool wood composite case with gunmetal grey stainless steel inner body, and presented on a fine oiled calf leather strap with pin buckle.

The SevenFriday P2B/03 “Woody” marks a revisit to the brand’s first edition, the P Series, and with its contrasting layers of natural hardwoods beech, cherry and walnut bonded together in its construction before being laminated for protection and durability, it is another standout piece from this exciting, fresh-faced watch company.

Few other brands have been able to match what SevenFriday have achieved in terms of design, technical functionality, attention to detail and in particular their price point, and in the P2B/03 “Woody” Limited Edition, there is so much to see through the sapphire crystal. The dial is composed of no fewer than eleven layers, creating an engaging 3D effect with contrasting colours and surface textures and making it a highly eyecatching piece indeed.

The SevenFriday P-Series’ distinctive hours and minutes are displayed via central disc-like pointers with skeletonised centre part and Super LumiNova hour panel. Elsewhere on the openworked dial, rotating discs are also used for the decentralized small seconds at the 4 o’clock position and the 24-hour register at the 9. Luminous hour indices provide ready legibility in low light conditions.

The movement plate has been decorated in ribbed style and through the opening is part of the aesthetic design.

Within the 47mm x 47mm cushion style case a Japanese Miyota automatic self winding movement beats reliably and accurately, and powers the dial functions above.

Underneath, the squared caseback feature SevenFriday’s new innovation, the Near Field Communications chip which as of now can be used to register your watch but which we are informed will likely see new functionality added in coming times.

Ever since making its debut in 2012 this upstart young watch company has blazed a trail around the globe, and from the outset, SevenFriday’s watches have been critically acclaimed and adored by a clientele typified by youth, energy and fun.

As is true across their collections, the SevenFriday P2B/03 “Woody” packs an awful lot of presence for a watch so accessibly priced. They may be the new kids on the block, but they have their finger right on the pulse and have made their mark, and look set for a career filled with greatest hits!
