Limited to only 20 pieces, the Speed of Sound watch by Louis Moinet celebrates a legacy calibre of historical significance. A superb blend of contemporary Haute Horlogerie and traditional watchmaking, the watch features a hand engraved manual winding Valjoux 88 chronograph movement from the 1940s, reworked and modernised for today’s clientele by the master watchmakers at the Louis Moinet Manufacture. Housed in a Grade 5 titanium case sized at 40.7mm, the watch carries a hand guilloché dial rendered in black with gold accents, featuring counters containing Aletai meteorite samples, a moonphase with lunar meteorite, and with a telemeter scale on the periphery.
