Characterised by an endlessly fascinating artisan dial, the Geometry Silver watch by Schwarz Etienne combines the watchmaking acumen of this acclaimed independent watchmaking manufacturer with the creative vision of Eric Giroud, a legend of modern watch design. Limited to only 100 pieces, this exceptional model showcases a dial upon which a miscellany of traditional guilloché work is uniquely and precisely arranged to create a highly expressive modernist artwork. Powered by a sophisticated in-house automatic micro-rotor movement, the Geometry Silver is an intriguing timepiece, which is brimming with individuality.
The visual highlight of the piece is its decorative dial which has been designed by Eric Giroud, a name synonymous with some of the most iconic timepieces of our generation. Elaborate, and exhibiting an abundance of textures, each dial in this small series collection has an 18ct gold base, upon which traditional artisan guilloché techniques of Azuré, Clous de Paris and Fluting have been rendered. Precisely divided into quadrants, the disruptive design of the dial is instantly immersive, and it immediately draw’s one’s eye in, inviting further examination of every nuance of the differing guilloché styles. In contrast to the intricacy of the guilloché, the minutes track and the small seconds on the lower dial each display a fine sandblasted finish, with the latter distinguished by a dark blue surface, and these elements are complemented by beautifully crafted lance-formed hour and minute hands.
The watch carries a stainless steel case measuring 39mm across with a depth of 11mm. Classically rounded and elegant, a polished finish enhances its profile and it is topped with a gently domed sapphire crystal.
Turned over, and a sapphire glass exhibition caseback reveals the superb in-house self-winding ASE 200.02 calibre developed by Schwarz Etienne. Beautifully finished, the fine sandblasted mainplate is complemented by grey PVD bridges with polished bevels. Featuring a micro-rotor, the movement beats 21’600 vib/h, and it derives an impressive eighty-six hours of power reserve.
A stunning timepiece created in collaboration with Eric Giroud, featuring a modern interpretation of fine guilloché work, the Geometry Silver watch by Schwarz Etienne is strictly limited to 100 pieces, and is worn on a dark blue leather strap lined with brown leather, secured with a steel folding clasp.
