Ripples Skeleton

A beautifully arranged and constructed contemporary sports timepiece, the Speake-Marin Ripples Skeleton watch showcases the intricate components of a new high frequency in-house automatic calibre through an openworked dial architecture. Featuring superb detailing and finishing throughout, the model resides in a 40.3mm 904L stainless steel ‘La City’ case which is incredibly slender at only 6.3mm tall, fitted with a squared-off bezel, leading to a generous dial opening. The skeletonised aspect of the dial side reveals a series of double-worked openworked bridges, featuring refined vertical satin finishing, with the components of the in-house SMA07 movement laid beneath. The watch is equipped with a heart-shaped hour hand, and an elongated minutes hand with each example blued so that they stand out superbly. In addition, the small seconds at the 1.30 has been rendered in black PVD with a ripple motif, and the chapter ring holds glossy dot-style markers. On turning over, the reverse of the SMA07 ultra-thin calibre is revealed. Beating at 36’000 vib/h (5Hz), with the high frequency ensuring increased chronometric performance, the calibre has been exclusively developed for Speake-Marin at the prestigious Le Cercle Des Horlogers workshops, and is equipped with an integrated micro-rotor enabling a reserve of power of up to 52 hours. The Ripples Skeleton wears on a superb integrated 3-link stainless steel steel bracelet with micro-adjustment.
