A beautifully constructed and arranged timepiece, the Quai Des Bergues No.19S by Czapek features an opaline silver dial of supreme purity paired with heat-blued titanium hands. An exceptional example of contemporary Haute Horlogerie from an exciting independent watchmaking Manufacture, this model is powered by Czapek’s acclaimed proprietary SHX1 manual wind calibre.

Re-awakened in 2015, the historically significant and prestigious name Czapek is once again making its mark within the landscape of independent watchmaking. Taking its place within an evolving portfolio of watches, the Czapek Quai Des Bergues No.19S blends nuances of classic styling with modern-day watchmaking techniques and the piece exhibits the satisfying level of finishing which is becoming ever-more desirable among watch collectors today.

The watch carries a polished stainless steel case measuring 38.5mm across. It has a rounded form with subtle sculpting on the sides and gently curving lugs. Beneath the curved sapphire crystal, the dial is of sterling silver with a white opaline finish.

Against this pristine surface, the shapely titanium “Fleur de Lys” hour and minutes hands have been heat-blued so they stand out wonderfully. A traditional railtrack for the minutes and Roman numerals for the hours add classical nuances to the dial, and the layout is finished with a recessed subdial for the small seconds at the 7.30, accompanied by the signature Czapek joint seven day power reserve and weekday indication at the 4.30 position.

Inside the watch, the superb SXH1 proprietary calibre affirms the commitment of Czapek to movement development and high-end finishing. Openworked bridges on the gear train lend it an airy character, while meticulous sandblasting, bevelling, hand-chamfering, and circular and snailed finishing techniques add character and prestige. Beating at 21’600 vib/h the movement has a 7 day reserve of power when fully hand wound.

The Czapek Quai des Bergues No.19S comes presented on a black alligator leather strap secured with a steel pin buckle.
