The Mondphase II marks a defining chapter in Felipe Pikullik’s evolution as an independent Berlin-based watchmaker. For the first time, Pikullik has conceived and built a movement entirely from the ground up, the Calibre FPMP2, a hand-wound mechanism born from complete creative freedom. Crafted 90% in-house, it represents a seamless blend of engineering precision and aesthetic harmony.
At its heart lies a deeply three-dimensional movement, fully visible through the dial, with each wheel, bridge, and moonphase indication arranged above an aventurine inlay, a deep blue, gold-flecked stone evoking the night sky. The effect is that of a miniature mechanical universe, where light, reflection, and motion interact poetically across layers of polished and brushed surfaces. The Kal. FPMP2 offers hours, minutes, moonphase, and a 24-hour indicator, operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of approximately 40 hours. The manually wound calibre is a celebration of craft, its interior angles and bevels hand-finished to superlative standards. A mirror-polished recess surrounding the balance wheel provides a reflective view of the watch’s beating heart, a design both functional and contemplative.
Encased in a 41mm by 10.5mm case with a lug-to-lug length of 50mm and water resistance to 50m, the Mondphase II is offered in three limited editions of 20 pieces each:
Stainless Steel, pairing technical brilliance with understated modernity.
Bronze, lending a warm, evolving patina that echoes time’s passage.
Platinum (PT950), embodying quiet opulence and depth of tone.
Each version is completed with a sapphire crystal and calfskin leather strap with a pin buckle, ensuring everyday comfort. The Mondphase II inaugurates Pikullik’s new Serie Universum, a declaration of artistic independence and a testament to Berlin’s emerging voice in contemporary haute horlogerie.
