The Massena Lab x Habring² Erwin LAB 01 is a limited edition timepiece created in collaboration with Austrian independent watchmaker Habring². Inspired by 1930s “scientific” sector dials, featuring a striking black gilt lacquer dial with gold-plated brass numerals and leaf-shaped hands. Housed in a 38.5mm aluminium-bronze case, designed to develop a rich brown patina over time, it includes a matching bronze buckle crafted by Austrian rifle maker Werner Bartolot. At its heart is the in-house, hand-wound A11MS calibre, a 21-jewel movement with a 48-hour power reserve and patented deadbeat seconds mechanism, delivering a precise one-second tick. This calibre is based on the Valjoux 7750 architecture but significantly refined by Habring². The sapphire crystal front and display caseback reveal the gilded deadbeat mechanism and hand-finishing. Water-resistant to 50 metres and paired with a honey brown Italian leather strap, the Erwin LAB 01 is limited to just 50 pieces worldwide. This particular example is in mint condition, sold as a full set and includes an additional one-year TLE warranty for added peace of mind.
