Reinforcing the creative spirit of this distinguished independent watchmaking company, the 1770 Royal Bridges Flying Tourbillon Rose Gold watch by Manufacture Royale features an eye catching interplay between its sweeping bridges and exposed mechanism within a Haute Horlogerie setting.

Originally established as a producer and purveyor of fine luxury goods for the nobility of Europe's high society by the famed philosopher and inventor Voltaire in 1770, the Manufacture Royale name is steeped in history. Revived in 2010, the exceptional timepieces produced by Manufacture Royale today have earned a reputation for their individuality and exclusivity among collectors around the world. As one of a series of six Pièce Unique models, the 1770 Royal Bridges Flying Tourbillon Rose Gold demonstrates the company’s mastery of technical horology and flair for contemporary and often unconventional styling.

Throughout its construction and assembly the Royal Bridges Flying Tourbillon exhibits a visually satisfying level of complexity. Sized at 43mm diameter, the multi-part case is manufactured in 18ct rose gold with a rounded profile, and features a smoothly curved bezel with polished finish. The openworked dial has been created to showcase the mechanical components of the barrel and the flying tourbillon, with the arrangement enhanced by faceted bridges in a rich, chocolate brown, which are positioned at the level of the flanges so that they reach up to the sapphire crystal, adding a three-dimensional aspect to the façade.

Beneath the upper bridge, the barrel is fully exposed, while the lower bridge secures the flying tourbillon which is off-set between the seven and eight o’clock position. The dial architecture is finished with a concave rehaut around the periphery, featuring stud shaped hour markers, and beautifully faceted sword shaped central hour and minutes hands.

Inside beats the manual winding Manufacture MR03 mechanical calibre which is designed and produced in-house. Immaculately executed throughout, two of the bridges have been decorated Côtes de Gèneve, while the third features a hand-engraved Manufacture Royale logo. Operating at 21’600 vph the calibre has a significant power reserve of 108 hours when fully wound.

An outstanding and unique piece of contemporary haute horlogerie, the Manufacture Royale 1770 Royal Bridges Flying Tourbillon Rose Gold comes presented on a technical fabric strap secured with an 18ct pin buckle to match the case material.
