Maestro

Featuring a significant level of hand finishing and detailing, the Maestro watch by HerzWerk evokes a classical presence on the wrist. Beautifully executed throughout, the piece carries a deep black dial with exquisite hand rendered guilloché decoration at its centre. The contrasting finishing of the chapter ring and the small seconds display at the six o’clock position add depth and beauty to the arrangement, and the harmonious interplay between the various elements is superb. The white gold hands for the hours and minutes are complemented by white gold Breguet style applied arabic numerals, and the domed sapphire crystal ensures that their mirror polished finish catches the light, regardless of the angle of view.

At the perimeter, the rehaut slopes upwards to embrace the trim bezel of the 41mm case. Distinctive for its delightful pearl drop profile, the casing has a height of only 9.5mm, and its polished finish and its neat, grooved winding crown conform to the overall understated character of the watch. On turning over, a sapphire crystal caseback reveals the exceptional refinement devoted to the interior angles, bevelled edges and surfaces of the in-house manual winding movement, which have been achieved using traditional techniques. Beating at a rate of 21’600 vib/h the calibre has power reserve of up to 48 hours. Each Maestro watch is individually crafted by watchmaker Martin Honermann in his HerzWerk atelier, and the maker offers the option of bespoke finishing or engraving at the time of ordering ensuring exclusivity to the client. An excellent find for the connoisseur of fine hand-crafted horology, the model is available with either a stainless steel or 18ct white gold case.
