HALF TIME BLACK / WHITE

Half Time is Ludovic Ballouard’s second in-house complication where his philosophy shines through yet again; the most important time is the present. All numerals are split in two and placed on two disks. The outer disk holds the upper half of the Roman numerals, and the inner disk the bottom half. The numerals are not lined up except at the position of 12 o’clock where the present hour is correctly displayed. One disk rotates clockwise, the other anticlockwise and they rotate upon reaching the full hour thus changing the aligned numeral at the position of 12 o’clock. The minutes are displayed in retrograde minutes at the position of 6 o’clock.
