Bringing a pop of vivid colour to this superb flagship collection, the Louis Erard Excellence Petite Seconde Violette watch showcases a dial in a resplendent purple tone, together with an abundance of subtle style nuances.
Characterised by well-considered design, the Excellence Petite Seconde Violette by Swiss Independent watchmaking company Louis Erard exhibits perfect proportions throughout its construction and arrangement. The casing is of stainless steel and is sized at 39mm across. A high polish finish enhances its profile, while a rounded bezel, flowing lugs and a knurled crown add further distinction to its architecture.
The dial is rendered in an intense shade of purple and its surface has been decorated using a trio of finishing techniques, with satin-brushed for the chapter ring, matte for the central section and snailing on the recessed small seconds at the six o’clock. From the centre, the rhodium-plated hour and minutes hands are of the company’s distinctive fir-tree shape, with finely tapering ends which reach out towards the slender applied hour numerals and markers which have a light catching glossy silver finish. In contrast, the small seconds carries an arrow-shaped hand, diminutive markers and a central cross-hair motif, while its dial is distinguished by a rhodiumed frame.
Viewable through the sapphire crystal exhibition caseback, the élaboré grade Swiss mechanical Sellita SW261-1 self-winding movement features a semi-skeletonised Louis Erard oscillating weight, and it boasts a power reserve of thirty-eight hours, beating at a brisk 28’800 vib/h.
A timepiece that captures the contemporary dress watch aesthetic to perfection, the Louis Erard Excellence Petite Seconde Violette comes presented on a purple grained calf leather strap with visible attachment point stitching, secured via a polished steel pin buckle
