The Linde Werdelin Oktopus Moon is a masterpiece limited to just 59 individually numbered pieces globally. Its five-layer skeletonized dial showcases exceptional craftsmanship, featuring a bronze finish, circular satin-finished réhaut, and top and lower dial elements. The rose gold (5N) satin-finished hands are adorned with cool grey luminova, with prominent cool grey luminova numerals at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock. The hour indexes, logo, and logotype exude a cool grey hue, complemented by rose minute indexes.
Crafted with precision, the case is a five-part construction in grade 2 titanium, housing a 2.5mm anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a titanium grade 2 screw-in back case embellished with an engraved octopus drawing. The bezel, also grade 2 titanium, frames the 44mm wide, 46mm long, and 15mm high dimensions of this remarkable timepiece. At its core lies the bespoke LW calibre, boasting an in-house photorealistic moon phase complication developed in collaboration with renowned Danish master watchmaker Svend Andersen in 2009. With 44 hours of power reserve, a balance frequency of 28,800vph (4Hz), and 23 jewels, this movement represents a pinnacle of horological innovation.
The Oktopus Moon's interchangeable rubber strap in earth brown, paired with a titanium ardillon buckle featuring a satin finish, ensures both style and functionality. With a water resistance of 300m, this timepiece effortlessly combines aesthetic elegance with exceptional durability. The moon phase feature unveils its photorealistic moons in darkness through apertures between 4 and 8 o'clock and an aperture from 1 to 2 o'clock, presenting a circular perlage surface on the metallic rose gold (5N) moon disc. A red “0” signifies the current moon phase, while gold numbers indicate past and future lunar phases, adding a captivating dimension to this exquisite watch.
