Introducing a pleasureful, rich palette of luxurious 18ct red gold and chocolate-tones to this highly covetable series, the Grand Sport Tourbillon Golden Brown watch by Laurent Ferrier is an exclusive release of only 24 pieces.

Characterised by endless subtle details and finishing of the utmost purity, this is the first Grand Sport Tourbillon edition to feature a case and bracelet crafted from 18ct red gold, and the resplendence of the material instantly elevates the prestige of this model.

Sized at 44mm diameter, and with a height of 13.40mm, the case is beautifully executed with satin-brushed and polished finishing. Crafted with subtle references to the intrinsic links between its maker and the curvaceous racing cars which he adores, its tactile form is complemented by a lugless profile which tapers to embrace the integrated link bracelet and is fitted with an elegant fluted ball-shaped crown.

Beneath the gently domed sapphire crystal the opaline finish dial exhibits a dégradé of rich chocolate-brown with a lighter shade in the centre graduating outwards to deeper tones. Against this surface, the Laurent Ferrier signature Assegai hands and rounded tapering applied markers, also crafted from 18ct red gold, are visually stunning, and with a generous application of white Super-LumiNova applied, the time display is clear and legible in all light conditions. Completing the understated aesthetics, a shallow recess at the six o’clock displays the small seconds.

The watch is equipped with the same Laurent Ferrier in-house manual wind tourbillon and double balance spring movement with which he won the Men’s Watch Prize at the prestigious GPHG awards in 2010.

Though the sapphire caseback one can view the meticulous decoration of the tourbillon, which is located on the calibre side where it is safely shaded from light which could affect its lubrication and therefore its precision, and also the contemporary finishing of the bridges. Beating at 21’600 vib/h, the movement has a power reserve of 80 hours.
