Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue

In celebration of the brand’s 15th anniversary, Laurent Ferrier present the Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue watch. An exceptional timepiece from the atelier of one of the most significant watchmaking Masters of our time, the watch features an exquisite 18ct white gold Métiers d’Art dial displaying a miniature hand-painted globe at its centre, achieved using varying shades of blue champlevé enamel. Nuances of enamelled gold elevate the artwork, giving added depth and, evoking perfect equipoise, a slate grey circular satin-brushed hour ring holds the date within an aperture at 3 o’clock, complemented by a home time aperture at the 9. This beautifully arranged dial is finished with the maker’s signature slender 18ct white gold Assegai-shaped hands and 18ct white gold drop-shaped indices.

The model is housed within the distinctive Laurent Ferrier pebble-formed rounded and polished case, which is manufactured from 18ct white gold, and is sized at a width of 41mm, with a depth of 12.64mm. The casing carries a gently fluted crown for winding and time-setting, with a further two pushers located at 10 and 8 o’clock, which enable easy adjustment of the time in one hour increments. The model is powered by the Manufacture Calibre LF230.02 movement, exhibiting immaculate Haute Horlogerie finishing throughout, with a power reserve of 72 hours via the exclusive micro-rotor pawl-fitted unidirectional winding system. While of diminutive proportions, the off-centred 18ct solid gold rotor features exquisite décor, giving it a glorious presence within the architecture of the movement, and notably the calibre also features a natural escapement that provides a double-direct impulse directly on the balance.  The model wears on deep grey Nubuck leather strap secured with an 18ct white gold pin buckle.
