The Laurent Ferrier Sport Auto 79 is a high-end luxury sports watch housed in a 41.5 mm tonneau-shaped case crafted from 5N red gold, featuring a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and an exhibition caseback. It is water-resistant to 120 meters. The opaline cream dial, achieved through galvanic treatment, presents a rose-silver hue and is adorned with 5N red gold appliqué indices and baton-style hands, all filled with white Super-LumiNova® for legibility. A snailed small seconds subdial is positioned at 6 o’clock, while a bevelled date aperture sits at 3 o’clock. Powering the watch is the in-house automatic Calibre LF270.01, equipped with a Swiss lever escapement and an off-centre 950 platinum micro-rotor. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), offers a 72-hour power reserve, and features a unidirectional ball bearing system for enhanced durability. Finishing includes Côtes de Genève on the bridges, perlage on the mainplate, and hand-bevelled edges. The integrated bracelet, also in 5N red gold, features a tapered design with brushed and polished surfaces and is secured with a double folding clasp.
