A rare Konstantin Chaykin 'Clown' limited edition. The very first of the successful ‘Wristmons’ collection, artisanally made in Russia by independent master and contemporary horological genius watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin. The Clown (now known as Clown I) is the inaugural limited edition of 27 pieces (all sold-out), which received the acclaim as a winner of the ‘Audacity Prize', at the 2018 GPHG (Grand Prix de l'Horlogerie in Geneva, the most important prize in watchmaking). Encased in a round 42mm case of stainless steel with engraved bezel, alternating brushed and polished finishing, with sapphire crystal glass and inscribed steel case back. The white clown face dial with yellow eyes indicates the hours and minutes with, below a red nose in the centre, the red mouth with a ‘tongue’ providing with the moon-phase indication. The ingenious mechanism comprises of a Swiss made ETA 2428-2 automatic base, ingeniously integrated to a Russian in-house Konstantin Chaykin Joker module, comprising 80 different parts and offering a 38 hours minimum power reserve.
