HASTROID COSMIC HUNTER

Combining vintage aesthetics with cutting-edge materials and technology, the Hastroid Cosmic Hunter by HYT marks a departure for this spectacular series of wristwatches and makes a stunning statement on the wrist.

Released in a limited edition of only 27 pieces, and featuring the HYT signature retrograde fluidique hour indication, the Hastroid Cosmic Hunter is presented in a casing of bronze PVD treated carbon and titanium, giving it a unique muted sophistication which promises to have an enduring finish. Sized at 48mm, with a height of 17mm, the case is of a complex construction, and its sculpted profile is characterised by hollowed lugs, a squared-off profile and a perforated mesh around its middle. The crown is positioned at the 2.30 location, with a box-domed sapphire crystal adding to the distinctive architecture of the housing.

Beautifully executed and styled, the dial of the watch showcases the patented HYT Meca-Fluide system, with the hours displayed via an elevated glass tube which encircles the dial, and with the hydraulic bellows which enable its retrograde motion exposed at the lower sector of the face. Complimenting the Hunter styling codes of the case, the 3D arabic numerals are in beige and are applied onto a grid-like black background, with black fluid within the glass capillary which is highlighted by its bronze-toned backdrop. From the centre, the skeletonised minutes hand is finished in black and beige with a lume-coated tip, while the seconds are displayed via a tri-armed pointer at the ten. Finishing this highly technical arrangement, an indication of the power reserve is at the two o’clock.

On the underside, a sapphire caseback reveals the proprietary manual wound Calibre 501-CM movement. An outstanding example of contemporary Haute Horlogerie, it is the product of a collaboration with innovations specialist TEC Ebauches, and for this edition, its components are enhanced with dark rendering giving it a stealthy and modern appearance. Fully wound, the single barrel has a 72 hour power reserve, and the balance pulsates at 28’800 vib/h.

Manufactured in a limited edition of only twenty-seven pieces, the HYT Hastroid Cosmic Hunter is presented on a two-toned military green and black strap of rubber and alcantara, secured to the wrist with a black coated titanium buckle.
