The Greubel Forsey Art Piece Edition Historique Double Tourbillon is a technical masterpiece that integrates a double-axis inclined tourbillon system to enhance precision. Comprising two tourbillon carriages, this intricate mechanism rotates the balance wheel in multiple planes, mitigating positional errors. The tourbillon is prominently displayed on a frosted, blue-coated titanium main plate, set lower than the raised dial, creating a sense of depth accentuated by the domed sapphire crystal and a substantial 44mm by 15.95mm case. The raised dial is exquisitely engraved in relief with the brand's values, giving it a unique aesthetic. Surprisingly, time indication is minimal, with a red hour marker, small seconds sub-dial, and a shutter-covered minutes window activated by a crown pusher.

The movement, consisting of 475 parts (including 130 for the tourbillon), features two mainspring barrels in series, one with a slipping clutch. The timpiece minimalistic case back showcases a frosted three-quarter plate, gold chatons, and relief-engraved signatures. The watch offers a captivating view, with the tourbillon carriages elegantly supported by a slender black-polished steel bridge. The Greubel Forsey Art Piece Edition Historique is limited to 33 pieces, with the first 11 in platinum and subsequent models in different materials, This particular timepiece housed in a platinum case in mint condition with box, papers and warranty(2021).
