Presented in a limited edition of only 50 pieces, the GoS Sarek Frost Midnight Blue watch captures the quiet beauty and delicacy of frost on a window frame, with a dial that is alive with graceful nuances. Housed in a beautifully crafted stainless steel casing, featuring Viking-inspired styling this stunning new model is powered by a mechanical calibre made to the specifications of GoS by the acclaimed movement Manufacture La Joux-Perret.
The Midnight Blue dial is brimming with subtle reminders of the obsessive attention to detail that GoS lavish upon each and every one of their timepieces. Rendered with a sunray finish, and in a gorgeous glacial blue hue, the dial surface glistens with every wrist movement. From the centre, the proprietary spear shaped hands, which are finished in a high gloss polish over gold plate, taper to incredibly fine tips, while above them the GoS logo marks the dial as if carved into an ice sculpture.
At the perimeter the rehaut is sprinkled with wonderful little silvery white and shiny transparent frost-like speckles, so tiny and so random that you can be sure that each dial promises uniqueness. Finally, and entirely in-keeping with the theme of the watch, 12 sapphire crystals each frosted on the underside, serve as markers when the hour hand lines up in the space between them. After dark, the Swiss Super-LumiNova that is applied beneath emits a ghostly glow enabling time reading when the light conditions are poor.
Sized at 41.5mm, with a height of 11mm, the case of the Sarek Frost is manufactured from stainless steel. Upon its sides, the sculpted detailing, which is inspired by Viking bracelets, is finished with contrasting polished and satin techniques, while the hilt-shaped crown is a distinctive feature. Beating within, and viewable through a sapphire caseback surrounded by a random frosted engraving, the G101 calibre has a frequency of 28’800 vib/h, and has a power reserve of 65 hours. Manufactured by La Joux-Perret to the requirements of GoS, the automatic calibre has a contemporary anthracite finish, and the skeletonised rotor is further embellished with the company’s distinctive Triskele symbol at its centre.
Presented in an exclusive release of only 50 pieces, the GoS Sarek Frost Midnight Blue wears on a hand-made salmon leather strap, secured with a damascus stainless steel pin buckle.
