Exhibiting perfect proportions and featuring a visually stunning icy blue dial tone, the Louis Erard Excellence Petite Seconde Bleu Glacier watch captures the contemporary dress watch aesthetic to perfection. Abound with subtle details this effortlessly stylish model is a superb addition to the company’s flagship series.
Displaying thoughtful design nuances throughout, the Excellence Petite Seconde Bleu Glacier by Swiss Independent watchmaking company Louis Erard showcases perfect proportions throughout its arrangement. The casing is of stainless steel and is sized at 39mm across. A high polish finish enhances its profile, while a rounded bezel, flowing lugs and a knurled crown add further distinction to its architecture.
Rendered in a lively shade of glacial blue, the dial has been decorated using a trio of finishing techniques, with satin-brushed for the chapter ring, matte for the central section and snailing on the recessed small seconds at the six o’clock. Dressed in a darker shade of blue the numerals, markers and hands stand out superbly against the ebullient dial tone. From the centre, the hour and minutes hands are of the company’s distinctive fir-tree shape, with finely tapering ends which reach out towards the slender hour numerals and markers. In contrast, the small seconds carries an arrow-shaped hand, diminutive markers and a central cross-hair motif and is distinguished by a rhodiumed frame.
Viewable through the sapphire crystal exhibition caseback, the élaboré grade Swiss mechanical Sellita SW261-1 self-winding movement features a semi-skeletonised Louis Erard oscillating weight, and it boasts a power reserve of thirty-eight hours, beating at a brisk 28’800 vib/h.
A superb timepiece with an exciting dial colourway, the Louis Erard Excellence Petite Seconde Bleu Glacier watch comes presented on a light blue calf leather strap with dark blue visible attachment point stitching, secured with a steel pin buckle.
