With a magnificent dial that shimmers with snow-set diamonds and sapphires, the Czapek Promenade Diamond Drops watch introduces a spectacular new aesthetic to this prestigious portfolio. An exclusive release of only 10 pieces, the model is presented in an 18ct white gold case, sized at 38mm diameter, with  additional diamond setting on the bezel and the crown. The flawless jewel set 18ct white gold dial is complemented by blued hands for the hours, minutes and small seconds indications, and the model is powered by the acclaimed automatic Czapek SXH5.1 in-house movement with power reserve of 60 hours via a micro-rotor with recycled platinum mass, with the fine Haute Horlogerie decoration of the movement appreciable through the rear sapphire crystal.

Styled to perfectly express this independent watchmaking atelier’s flair for both design and creativity, the dials of the Czapek Promenade collection display exceptional execution. With their latest piece, the Promenade Diamond Drops, the company have unveiled a stunning dial on which a flawless expanse of jewels, achieved entirely by using the technically challenging snow-setting technique, evokes an interplay of water and light, an icy surface, or perchance the dewy droplets one would see reflected by the morning sun.

Exhibiting astounding craftsmanship, the 18ct white gold dial is set with 360 white diamonds (1.5cts), and 319 blue sapphires (1.58cts), with each gem individually chosen and set into tiny wells drilled into the surface in order to create a perfectly even surface. Demanding of 6 days of work by the gem-setter, both the diamonds and the sapphires are of varying sizes, with the latter also displaying varying shades of blue tones that enliven and enhance the luxurious miniature artwork. Complementing the gem-set surface, the blued hands for the hours and minutes are openworked, and these are joined by a diminutive example for the small seconds indication at 4.30, and the dial is finished with Czapek branding applied directly onto the glass box sapphire crystal.

An additional setting of 173 diamonds (1.63cts) on the bezel and the crown add a final flourish of opulence to the 38mm 18ct white gold case, which wears at a height of 10.8mm. Beating within, and viewable through the sapphire crystal caseback, the superb SXH5.1 in-house automatic calibre is designed and developed in-house by Czapek. Beautifully architected, its series of cascading bridges recall the historically significant 19th century pocket watches of François Czapek, and are accentuated by exquisite hand bevelling, straight-graining and hand-chamfering on the inner angles. Offset and fitted flush onto the main plate, the 100% recycled solid platinum micro rotor provides the chronometer-rated 28’800 vib/h mechanism with a minimum of 60 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
