Introducing a new bespoke purpose-built in-house movement to their collection, the Czapek Antarctique Révélation marks the company’s first time-only skeletonised watch. Displaying the sharp styling for which this independent watchmaking name are acclaimed, the Czapek Antarctique Révélation debuts the SXH7 automatic calibre, showcasing its mechanism on the dial side with a fascinating yet uncluttered arrangement. Presented on a beautifully crafted integrated stainless steel bracelet, this excellent sports timekeeper has a limited production of only 100 pieces per year.
While many skeletonised watches have an elaborate aesthetic, the Czapek Antarctique Révélation reveals its inner workings within a cleanly styled façade which is perfectly inline with the sports aesthetic of this collection. Considerable attention to detail on the technical side has given the movement a significant update wherein the escapement has been completely reversed. Furthermore, by dispelling with the need for a central bridge for the seconds hand, which is now derived directly by the fourth wheel, the entire arrangement has been simplified and a skeletonised small seconds subdial has been positioned at the 4.30. In order to promote transparency the small seconds subdial, together with the minutes track are created from grey smoked sapphire crystal, with time indicated via sword-shaped hands and rhodium-plated hour markers.
The exposed layout of the in-house movement reveals the immaculate bevelling, straight-grained edges and hand-chamfered inward angles of the components and with sandblasted black bridges the calibre has a contemporary Haute Horlogerie appearance. Notably the micro-rotor is now viewable from the front and it has been beautifully skeletonised and decorated. Beating at 28’800 vib/h, the SXH7 movement has a power reserve of 60 hours.
The Czapek Antarctique Révélation carries a stainless steel case of 40.5mm diameter with a height of 10.6mm, finished with brushed and polished techniques. The model is presented on an integrated steel bracelet featuring the distinctive C-shaped central links which have a high-polish finish. Strictly limited in production, only 100 pieces of this model will be made per year.
