Antarctique Frozen Star S

PRICE ON REQUEST

Featuring a spectacular dial, manufactured by hand in the rarest of all precious metals, and which is individually unique to each piece, the Antarctique Frozen Star S by independent Swiss watch company Czapek is a truly magnificent example of a watch, which since its introduction in 2021, has become the brand’s most in demand collection.

A modern classic of contemporary watch design, the Antarctique has quickly asserted itself as one of the most popular recent arrivals in the fiercely contested sports luxury category. It is presented in a stainless steel case, which measures 38.5mm across and 10.6mm tall, and features contrasting brushed and polished finishing, which extends from the case onto the beautifully engineered integrated bracelet, with polished C shaped links.

Beneath the subtle convex curve of sapphire crystal, the Antarctique Frozen Star edition is defined by the naturally occurring, sparkling texture of its osmium dial. Manufactured in a limited production of only 38 pieces, each dial is individually crafted by hand, making each watch unique and adding further to its exclusivity. One of the rarest elements in the earth’s crust, and the densest of all, osmium is also the outright rarest precious metal. It’s blue-white colour and unique crystalline properties give it an eye-catching appearance which glitters in the light as the watch moves with the wrist.

Standing out clearly against this shimmering backdrop, the steel hour indices are set into the chapter ring above the dial, and like the hour and minute hands are rhodium plated and have a generous application of powerful Super-LumiNova which ensures excellent legibility in all light conditions, while the sweeping seconds hand features a red tip.

Inside the Antarctique the superb SXH5 in-house calibre is designed and developed in-house by Czapek. Finished to the exacting standards of haute horlogerie it features a sandblasted black German silver mainplate, with mirror polishing, anglage and bevelling applied by hand to its components.

Visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback, a series of cascading skeletonised bridges, the inner workings and the detailing of the free sprung balance and going train of interconnecting wheels and gears are revealed. Offset and fitted flush onto the main plate, the 100% recycled solid platinum micro rotor provides the chronometer-rated 28’800vib/h mechanism with a minimum of 56 hours of power reserve when fully wound.

A superb and rare edition of this hugely popular model, the Antarctique Frozen Star is supplied with an additional rubber strap, which is easily interchanged without tools, thanks to the patented quick release system. This timepiece is preowned and unworn with box, papers and warranty.
