Clad in a sleek, black, feather light case of high tech carbon fibre, and with a thickness of just 3.95mm, it is a technical tour de force which defies convention, and pushes the parameters of horologic engineering to previously unchartered extremes of precision and tolerances.
Manufactured in Carbon CTP, the sleek and stealthy profile of the Octo Finissimo is accentuated by the contrasting textures of its iconic angular eight-sided case and its completely stripped back dial, which combine to give the watch a dark, stealthy monochrome appearance throughout. Measuring 42mm across and only 3.95mm in height, it is a piece with imposing aesthetics, yet which is almost imperceptibly light upon the wrist.
Beneath a flat disc of sapphire crystal, with the movement's beautifully finished components fully exposed, revealing a true masterclass in micro engineering, the display is dominated by the mesmerising animation of its flying tourbillon, which rotates in a sixty second cycle in its cavity at the six o'clock position, while directly above, the skeletonised barrel beneath the twelve adds balance to the absolutely captivating spectacle.
With its components condensed into a mechanism of only 1.95mm in height, and featuring a peripheral oscillating weight of aluminium and titanium, the groundbreaking Calibre BVL 288 self-winding movement which powers the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic is a feat of horologic engineering, and the result of many years of research and development. Boasting an impressive 52 hours of power reserve from its single barrel, it beats at a pace of 21,600 vib/h.
A remarkable watch which immediately established a new benchmark in the pursuit of the ultimate ultra-thin self-winding mechanical wristwatch, the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Automatic was manufactured in a limited production of only fifty pieces. Now sold out and almost impossible to find in this condition, The Limited Edition are pleased to offer a very rare opportunity to acquire this important piece, in new and unworn with all original boxes, and complete with full manufacturer's warranty.
