An exceptional example of a moonphase complication within a contemporary setting, the Consteller watch by independent watchmaking company Behrens is a compelling proposition. Featuring a three-dimensional dial architecture with the hours and minutes on individual openworked subdials, the layout is perfectly balanced by the extraordinary moonphase indication at the upper dial, while a central sweeping seconds completes the arrangement. The backdrop to the indications is an exquisite deep blue aventurine surface with applied constellation detailing, that rotates every 24 hours, adding to the aesthetic drama. The avant-garde styling codes of the watch are enhanced by a black PVD stainless steel housing sized at 42mm, which is fitted with domed sapphire crystal, and this sophisticated model is powered by a premium Miyota 9-series automatic movement, with in-house modification, and with power reserve of 42 hours.
