11G Purple Carbon

The BEHRENS 11G Purple Carbon is an ultra-lightweight mechanical watch engineered for both visual impact and technical performance. Named for its remarkable 11-gram weight (excluding strap), the watch features a trapezoidal case made entirely from curved carbon fibre finished in a vivid purple hue. Measuring 38mm by 42mm and just 5.8mm thick, the case delivers ergonomic comfort without compromising structural rigidity. Beneath a sapphire crystal, the openworked dial exposes the manual-wind Calibre BM02, showcasing a dual bi-retrograde time display for hours and minutes. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the movement offers a 38-hour power reserve and includes a built-in mechanism to prevent damage from reverse winding, a critical safeguard for its complex bi-retrograde function.

The vibrant purple colour, paired with the skeletonised architecture, highlights the movement’s layered construction and emphasises the watch’s fusion of historical inspiration and contemporary design. Drawing from the form of the Tang Dynasty “Hu” tablet, the case shape symbolises communication and wisdom while reimagining traditional geometry in modern materials. The 11G Purple Carbon is fitted with a black FKM rubber strap and secured by a titanium pin buckle, offering a balance of resilience, flexibility, and hypoallergenic wear. A water resistance rating of 30 meters ensures protection against incidental moisture.
