Featuring an abundance of styling nuances, this handsome timepiece has all the credentials demanded of a modern diver’s watch, yet it is styled to be equally at home wether worn under the waves or beneath the cuff of a tailored jacket. Crafted as a celebration to the divers of yesteryear but displaying a firmly contemporary personality, the desirability of the Frømand is further enhanced by a beautifully executed automatic skeletonised movement by high-end Swiss movement specialist, Schwarz Etienne.
Quickly finding their place within the landscape of micro-independents with this stunning new timepiece, Atelier Holgur have an ethos borne from a love of the oceans, and of horology. Co-founded by Asbjørn Simonen-Andersen, Matthew de Bakker and Ferdinand de Bakker, Atelier Holgur have set out to redefine the diver’s watch, by blending luxury with practicality, and to support ocean conservation projects throughout the world, thus bringing their passion for both sectors together.

Fitted with a pronounced crown guard, the case extends to meet the strapping, but a well-considered approach to design ensures that despite its strong wrist presence, the ergonomic feel of the watch is not compromised. Enhanced by a combination of polished and micro-blasted finishing, the case is topped with a unidirectional black DLC coated bezel equipped with 120 clicks, and the housing is sealed to withstand a water resistance of up to 300m.
