PURITY TOURBILLON CHAMELEON GREEN/AMBER

PRICE ON REQUEST

Making a spectacular debut onto the watchmaking scene the Artya Purity Tourbillon Chameleon Green and Amber watch is endlessly fascinating with its bewildering colour-shifting personality. Featuring a sapphire case which mysteriously transforms its colour on exposure to light, with this phenomenal timepiece, ArtyA have not only unveiled a world-first - once again; the company have blazed a trail in the industry, leaving others to follow.

Sized at 46mm, the watch has a Nano-Sapphire case, caseback and crown so that its transformative wizardry can be appreciated from every angle. Crafted using cutting-edge processes the optically transparent polycrystalline material from which the housing is crafted has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale and therefore lends itself wonderfully to its functionality as a watchcase, but of course, the science behind its creation pales to insignificance when one is confronted by its visually stunning ability to change colour tone.

Presented in a series of Pièces Uniques which feature different colour combinations, this one of a kind model has a case which transforms from dusky amber to ethereal green on exposure to light of more than 6500k. The illusory aspect of the watchcase is complemented by a fully open-worked dial arrangement which showcases the components of the manual wind Manufacture movement.

Generously proportioned at 17mm, and beating at 4Hz to ensure added stability, the flying tourbillon is clasped within an immaculately hand-beveled and finished three-pronged open-worked bridge. Located at the 9 o’clock location it also displays the running seconds. Offering equipoise, it is complemented by the proportionally perfect arrangement of a pair of barrels at the 2 and 4 o’clock which ensure a 70 hour reserve of power.

Adding to the drama, the bridges are slender and their concentric form adds further to the unique aspect of the movement, while from the centre, the faceted steel hour and minutes hands taper beautifully to complete this exceptional dial side composition.

The case back of the watch, also manufactured from Nano-Sapphire, provides a full disclosure of the reverse of the movement. Notably, ArtyA have equipped the calibre with a free-sprung balance with variable inertia, promoting supreme reliability and chronometry, and in accordance with the company’s ethos of maintaining their integrity of Haute Horlogerie craftsmanship, every component has been hand-polished and beveled to immaculate standards.

The ArtyA Purity Tourbillon Green and Amber Unique Piece comes presented on a leather strap secured with a pin buckle.
