Featuring a resplendent trompe l'oeil guilloché dial, the Art Deko watch by Aleksandr Nesterenko affirms this youthful independent watchmaker’s mastery of his craft. Beautifully executed throughout with hand-achieved details, the watch is housed within a 39mm stainless steel case and is powered by the manual winding in-house AN01 calibre featuring a number of technical and aesthetic refinements.

Hand-crafted by Nesterenko in his Saint Petersburg atelier, the Art Deko is a stunning example that is characterised by mechanical sophistication and exquisite aesthetics. With design cues inspired by the architecture of his home city, the watch is incredibly stylish on the wrist, evoking a contemporary character underscored by classical elegance.

Displayed beneath a gently domed sapphire crystal, the visual highlight of the watch is its  dial which is rendered with a mesmerising pattern of golden trompe l'oeil guilloché decoration engraved deep into surface of the central panel. Machined by hand using a traditional guilloché rose engine, it creates an endlessly fascinating illusory effect and is outstandingly accomplished. Complementing the magnificent dial tone, the ruby red chapter ring has golden roman numerals, while at the outer, the double digits on the minutes track are scripted in black. Completing the arrangement, the signature Nesterenko hands are darkened with the hour and minutes hands featuring pronounced pommecircles just before their arrow-point tips, while the seconds hand is an incredibly slender example that is finished with a fine openworked counterweight.

The Art Deko is housed within a 39mm rounded and polished stainless steel casing. On the underside of the watch, a sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the manual winding AN01 in-house movement. Notably, this is an evolved calibre over previous models, and while the ratchet wheel remains outsourced to the prestigious Raketa Manufacture, the bridges and components have undergone organically refined improvements within the Nesterenko atelier. Immaculately decorated, it features options of either a uniquely textured hand-sanded decor or alternatively, the plate can be enhanced with Côtes de Genève, while in contrast, the balance cock is finished with a fine hand-frosted technique.

Aimed at the connoisseur of fine watchmaking, this exceptional Nesterenko Art Deko model is a stunning timepiece that perfectly expresses this young talent’s artisanship and horological prowess, and affirms his place at the upper echelon of the independent watchmaking landscape.
