Combining technical Haute Horlogerie with exquisite métiers d’art craftsmanship, the Arnold and Son Perpetual Moon 38 Mintnight is aesthetically pleasing to the highest degree. Limited to only 18 pieces, this edition showcases a captivating moonphase display, presented upon a magnificent façade of mother-of-pearl marquetry, enhanced with an array of scintillating ruthenium crystals. Complementing the shimmering spectacle of the dial, the 18ct white gold case of the watch is set with 80 brilliant-cut white diamonds, and beating within, the A&S1612 in-house hand-wound mechanical movement boasts an exceptionally accurate moon phase complication.
This beautifully executed timepiece takes its place within the Arnold and Son ladies portfolio, and affirms the affinity which this prestigious independent watchmaking company has with that most charming of all watchmaking complications, the moonphase. In a style typical of their portfolio, the watch showcases a highly poetic display of the moon which peeps out from behind a landscape of graduating blue, mint-green, and turquoise mother-of-pearl. On the lower dial, and on the moon, ruthenium crystals give further enhancement, with the hand-painted constellations and marquise-cut diamond hour markers adding to the visual depth and beauty of the dial.
The Arnold and Son Perpetual Moon 38 Mintnight watch is presented in a 38mm rounded case of 18ct. white gold with a height of 10.44mm. Promising fiery resplendence with every subtle movement of the wrist, its bezel, horns and crown have been embellished with 90 brilliant-cut white diamonds.
A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the decoration and hand finishing which has been applied throughout the A&S1612 manual winding movement. A technical masterpiece, which has a depth of only 4.95mm, it boasts a moonphase so accurate that if the watch is kept constantly wound, it will maintain an accuracy of 122 years. Equipped with a 90 hour power reserve, it is impeccably finished with radiating stripes of Côtes de Genève on the mainplate, polished and chamfered bridges, and circular brushed wheels.
The Perpetual Moon 38 Mintnight watch by Arnold and Son is presented on a satin-feel blue alligator leather strap, with raspberry-pink alligator leather lining, secured with an 18ct. white gold pin buckle set with 22 brilliant-cut white diamonds. Ensuring exclusivity to its wearer, this edition will be limited to 18 pieces.
