The Czapek Antarctique Mount Erebus Falcon Eye is a rare and exquisitely crafted timepiece that blends geological wonder with haute horlogerie. Encased in 5N rose gold, the watch measures 40.5 mm in diameter and offers a water resistance of 120 meters, making it both elegant and robust. Its dial is made from Falcon Eye quartz, a strikingly beautiful stone sourced from South Africa, known for its shimmering anthracite, blue, and bronze tones with natural orangish stripes.

Due to the stone’s fragility, only one in five dials is deemed flawless, ensuring each piece is truly unique. The watch is powered by Czapek’s in-house SXH5.01 automatic movement, featuring a recycled platinum micro-rotor, a 60-hour power reserve, and a skeletonized architecture inspired by 19th-century pocket watches. The movement’s finishing combines traditional anglage with modern laser engraving, while the free-sprung balance wheel is regulated by four gold adjustable weights. With no date window—due to the difficulty of working with hard stone—the Falcon Eye edition focuses purely on aesthetic and mechanical excellence. Inspired by Mount Erebus, Antarctica’s active volcano known for emitting microscopic gold particles, this timepiece is a tribute to nature’s rare beauty and Czapek’s commitment to artisanal watchmaking.
