Clean, crisp and legible, the dial of the Airain Sous-Marine Tropical is rendered in a cool patinated tropical shade with contrasting Super-LumiNova in a ‘Light Old Radium’ tone giving the generous numerals and markers vintage appeal.
An authentic recreation of a classic divers watch from 1962, the Airain Sous-Marine Tropical watch is an effortlessly stylish watch with an abundance of vintage charm. Presented in a 37.5mm stainless steel case, featuring black PVD-coated unidirectional bezel and a double domed sapphire crystal, the casing can also be fitted with a Parmentier crown cap system and has a water resistance of up to 200m. The dial is rendered in a warm tropical tone and is equipped with generous numerals and hands enhanced with Super-LumiNova Light Old Radium and a date window at 3 o’clock. Powered by the AM5 automatic calibre developed by the prestigious movement Manufacturer La Joux-Perret, the watch wears on a FixoFlex stainless steel bracelet or rubber strap secured by a pin buckle.

Founded by the Dodane family in 1934, Montres Airain have a significant provenance within the watchmaking landscape. The arrival of quartz timepieces had a detrimental effect on the business, and having been revived by enthusiast Tom van Wijlick following a lengthy slumber, Airain are back in business alongside their original sister company, Lebois & Co.
