The Panerai Radiomir Black Seal Ceramica edition was released in 2014 as a boutique-only edition of a mere 101 pieces.
Encased in svelte black ceramic, it is classic Panerai but with a contemporary twist.
Its squared-off cushion case is manufactured in hard wearing black ceramic, its matte finish highlighting the clean yet complex lines of the iconic case design which also features detachable wire lugs and signed screw-in crown.
Beneath the gently domed sapphire crystal the dial is matte black with the Panerai signature ‘sandwich’ construction, and unusually, features a full set of arabic numerals, which appear beige in daylight and transforming to a vivid green lume in darkness.
Black steel hands with luminous strips, with only hours and minutes, are the only adornments and the effect is one of space and perfect balance.
A black stainless steel caseback screws in to the ceramic chassis, sealing the Panerai OP 1 hand winding movement within, and protecting it to withstand up to 100m water resistance.
Providing a stunning contrast to the black case and dial of is its ‘Assolutamente’ finest calf leather strap. It’s interchangeable of course, but its already weathered light tan is handmade to age over time. It’s secured in place with a robust black steel tang buckle.
The Panerai Radiomir Black Seal Ceramica Boutique is one of the most sought-after editions; its rarity and unique features making it a ‘grail’ piece for many collectors. The Limited Edition are pleased to offer our mint example, unworn in box and with manufacturer’s warranty.
