MANUFACTURE ROYALE 1770 FLYING TOURBILLON DIAMONDS ROSE GOLD

The embodiment of technical sophistication and supreme elegance, the Manufacture Royale 1770 Rose Gold and Diamonds watch boasts a visually stunning flying tourbillon framed by an exquisite opaline silvered dial.  While the meticulous finishing of the piece bears witness to this Manufacture’s commitment to traditional Haute Horlogerie finishing techniques, the company’s innovative spirit is revealed within the exposed mechanism where one can glimpse a vivid beating heart made from cutting-edge silicon.

The piece carries a 43mm 18ct Rose Gold case embellished with 148 brilliant-cut diamonds, placed within two scintillating rows.  Itself a complex construction, the case comprises of 20 separate components finished and assembled by hand and featuring two beautifully curving brancards which cradle the case middle before extending gently to form the lugs.

From this luxurious housing, a domed crystal reveals the quiet beauty of an opaline silvered dial. Here, every nuance has received the craftsman’s touch.  The sword shaped hands have been given both satin and polished finishes to enhance readability.  They reach out to hour markers which have been diamond-polished by hand, beyond which individual golden dots add further definition. At 10 o’clock, a petite aperture displays the reserve of power.  Deliberately understated, the dial has been left bereft of clutter in order to showcase the panorama of the flying tourbillon revealed through a generous dial opening.

Immediately compelling, the asymmetrical positioning of the mechanism enhances its presence.  Blending this traditional mark of Haute Horlogerie with cutting-edge supremacy, the exposé reveals a silicon escapement and pallet fork.  Around the opening, the provenance of the piece is declared with the Manufacture’s name and the numbers 1770 – the year Manufacture Royale was founded and the collection to which this timepiece belongs.

Revealed through a sapphire crystal case back, the exemplary finishing of the Manufacture hand-wound movement can be admired.  Beating at 21’600vph it has an impressive power reserve of at least 108 hours when fully wound.

A striking timepiece which underscores Manufacture Royale’s position within the upper echelon of Haute Horlogerie, the Manufacture Royale 1770 Rose Gold and Diamonds watch is presented on a white alligator leather strap with an 18ct Rose Gold pin buckle.
