Characterised by the styling cues which iconised Alain Silberstein’s timepieces from the 1990s, the Le Régulateur Blanc Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein watch combines watchmaking acumen with creative finesse. Featuring a playful take on the classical Régulateur dial arrangement which individualises the time display indications, the piece combines M. Silberstein’s inimitable colourful design touches with the exceptional horological craftsmanship of the Louis Erard atelier.
Crafted from titanium, the casing comprises of a rounded form from which vertical brancards extend, lending the profile an airy aspect. Meticulously decorated with micro-blasted and polished finishes it has a pert conical-shaped crown, and the unique openworked structure of the case ensures a larger wear than its 40mm diameter.
Featuring a Régulateur arrangement, the model displays its time-telling indications individually on a beautiful opaline dial in matte silver. Brimming with joyful vibrancy, the hands and indices are immediately recognisable as the work of Alain Silberstein.
At the dial edge, the minute markers in grey complement the design language of the watch and are paired with deep blue examples at every hour, with a brilliant red hour marker defining the twelve. From the centre, a sturdy blue lacquered and arrow-tipped hand points decisively to the minutes. On the upper dial, the recessed hour dial features a chubby little red triangular hand and indices rendered in red and grey, while at the six o’clock, a diminutive form of M. Silberstein’s signature serpentine hand in yellow, counts the seconds against markers which take the form of petite grey dots. The overall effect of the varying colour tones and graphic shapes is stunning, and while the styling almost appears to be effortless, one can be in no doubt that every subtlety upon it required endless deliberation and attention to detail.
Revealed through a central sapphire section on the caseback, the élaboré grade mechanical Sellita SW266-1 calibre features a Louis Erard openworked rotor, equipping the movement with a power reserve of 38 hours and beating at 28’800vph.
A resolutely spirited example of a classic dial arrangement, the Le Régulateur Blanc Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein watch is presented on a grey nylon strap with a hook-and-loop fastener system. The model will be a limited release of 178 pieces.
