EXCELLENCE LA SEMAINE BLANCHE LOUIS ERARD X ALAIN SILBERSTEIN

With a dial arrangement which is brimming with playful shapes, colours and forms, the La Semaine Blanche Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein watch is a charming proposition. Featuring a day disc in the design language of the iconic Alain Silberstein Smiledays display, this limited edition model combines the horological craftsmanship of the Louis Erard atelier and the inimitable styling finesse of the acclaimed designer.

Crafted from titanium, the casing comprises of a rounded form from which vertical brancards extend, lending the profile an airy aspect. Meticulously decorated with micro-blasted and polished finishes, it has a pert conical-shaped crown, and the unique openworked structure of the case ensures a larger wear than its 40mm diameter.

On a silvery matte opaline dial surface, M. Silberstein’s primary colours and graphic shapes stand out wonderfully. Exhibiting a joyful take on the display of the day of the week, the model features the designer’s acclaimed Smiledays display, which replaces the day of the week with a “mood of the day” stylised face, housed within an oval-shaped aperture on the lower dial just above the date window. While the wearer moves through their week, the playful expressiveness of the little display will no doubt raise the spirits - even on a Monday morning, and perhaps serve as a reminder that time is always evolving and is ever-flowing. And, as the display is entirely at the discretion of the owner, it can be adjusted to suit their own bespoke weekday emotions. Not limited to this highly original take on the day display, the façade is enlivened by a trio of instantly recognisable Silberstein hands. The hour hand takes the format of a perfect circle in bright red with a solid triangular marker, while the blue minutes hand has a robust arrow-tip with a hammer counterweight. Both are complemented by an exquisite serpentine-like seconds hand in vivid yellow. All three reach out to minute markers in grey and hour indices in blue, with a red example at the 12 o’clock location.

Revealed through a central sapphire section on the caseback,  the élaboré grade mechanical Sellita SW266-1 calibre features a Louis Erard openworked rotor, equipping the movement with a power reserve of 38 hours and beating at 28’800vph.

An exceptional example of contemporary watch design which is defined by the originality of its animated dial arrangement, the La Semaine Blanche Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein watch is presented on a grey nylon strap with a hook-and-loop fastener system. The model will be a limited release of 178 pieces.
