Limited to only 78 pieces, and available for purchase for the first time as a single piece, the Louis Erard Le Régulateur Tourbillon Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Black watch is decidedly complex yet wonderfully playful. Featuring the time indications displayed individually via vivid colour tones upon a matte black surface, the dial side arrangement is further enhanced by the inclusion of a visible one minute tourbillon mechanism on the lower sector. Housed in a 40mm titanium case, and powered by a Swiss mechanical manual wind movement, the watch is beautifully executed and arranged, with each piece in the series individually engraved denoting its exclusivity.
A contemporary take on the classic Régulateur dial, wherein the time displays are arranged individually, the Le Régulateur Tourbillon Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Black watch is brimming with vibrancy and the inimitable signature style touches that iconised Alain Silberstein watches during the 1990s.
On the upper dial, the silvered counter for the hours features a chubby little red triangular hand and indices rendered in red and black. From the centre, a sturdy blue lacquered and arrow-tipped hand points decisively to the minutes scale that carries yellow and white markers, with a brilliant red marker defining the twelve o’clock. Blending perfectly with the lively colour nuances of the indications, the one minute tourbillon animates the lower dial, and here a diminutive yellow serpentine hand that is immediately recognisable as the work of Alain Silberstein, serves to indicate the seconds.
Crafted from titanium, the casing comprises of a rounded form from which vertical brancards extend, lending the profile an airy aspect. Meticulously decorated with micro-blasted and polished finishes, it is fitted with a pert conical-shaped crown, and the openworked structure of the case ensures a larger wear than its 40mm diameter. Beating within at 21’600 vib/h, the manual winding tourbillon BCP T02 calibre derives a generous power reserve of 100 hours. Developed and produced in La Chaux-de-Fonds by the acclaimed watchmaker Olivier Mory, the movement can be viewed thorough the sapphire crystal caseback.
An excellent opportunity to acquire a spirited example of a classic dial arrangement with the added prestige of a dial side tourbillon, the Louis Erard Le Régulateur Tourbillon Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Black watch is presented on a black nylon strap with a hook-and-loop fastener system. The model will be a limited release of 78 pieces.
