An acclaimed model within the portfolio of Louis Erard, the Le Régulateur is a timepiece which has an effortlessly stylish personality due to its individualised time-telling dial arrangement, with the hours at 12 o’clock, the seconds at the 6, and with a central minutes hand. For the first time, the company have chosen to enhance the prestige of their Régulateur with a dial of exquisite Grand Feu enamel, manufactured in the atelier of Donzé Cadrans who are acclaimed for their meticulous métiers d’art dial creations. Despite the astonishing price point of this limited edition model, each dial has been crafted using a traditional handcrafted enamelling technique, wherein layers of the frangible material are applied and fired in multiple stages, ensuring the uniqueness of each piece. Giving further prominence to the character of the watch, the ivory dial is two-toned so that the individual indications stand out, and the blued steel signature fir tree hands complement the speckled, milky aesthetic of the enamel perfectly.
The watch is housed within a 39mm polished steel case with a height of 12.82mm. Revealed through a sapphire crystal caseback, the Swiss made Sellita SW2661-1 self-winding regulator movement which powers the watch beats at a brisk 28’800vib/h and has a power reserve of a minimum of thirty-eight hours, maintained by the oscillations of the semi-skeletonised Louis Erard bespoke rotor.
