A superb fusion of yellow gold with 2N purity combined with intense blue accents give this HYT H0 Blue striking aesthetics. But, as with all HYT models, the stellar feature is, of course, the brand’s unique fluidic hour indication which provides a provocative and compelling spectacle.
Since the conception of their patented fluidic hour indication, HYT has evolved a collection of contemporary timepieces with which to showcase their astounding innovation. Widely considered to be HYT’s most restrained design to date, the H0 models are characterised by their sleek, elegant architecture. The HYT H0 Gold Blue model carries an18k Champagne-coloured gold case with 2N purity - a luxurious addition which enhances the profile of the watch. In keeping with its distinctive aesthetics, only 20 examples of this piece will be released for sale.
Encircling the dial, a tiny medical-grade glass capillary contains two liquids, each with opposing properties, so that no matter what, they will never merge. In defiance of the laws of gravity these liquids flow with precision to accurately indicate the hour. For this model, vivid blue liquid adds a dramatic twist and superb contrast.
The two multi-layer bellows, which are at the heart of the patented fluidic hour indication, are viewable through apertures located on the lower dial. Elsewhere, an elevated minutes subdial is at the dial centre, while a small seconds and power reserve indication take up their position on either side.
Although this is a distinctly avant-garde timepiece, HYT has paid particular attention to the minutiae. The 48.8mm case features a blend of circular brushing and sandblasted finishing techniques while the power reserve indication has a subtle water-themed pattern. And, in a final flourish, the atypically located crown has been given a distinctive oblique fluted decoration.
As if to affirm that this is indeed a showcase timepiece, a box-domed sapphire crystal encloses the entire watch giving a three-dimensional aspect to the curved gold opaline dial. Inside, the exclusive HYT mechanical manual winding caliber, which incorporates the patented micro-fluidic module, beats at 28,800. Its meticulous beveled and Côtes de Genève adorned bridges and unusual architecture can be appreciated through the rear sapphire crystal. The HYT H0 Gold Blue watch wears on matt blue alligator leather strap with yellow gold (2N) and titanium folding buckle.
