HAUTLENCE HL2.4 TITANIUM EDITION

Capturing the spirit of contemporary Haute Horlogerie, the Hautlence HL2.4 watch is characterised by its modern styling and vibrant colour accents.  For the collector who appreciates the minutiae of fine watchmaking, this model offers a full disclosure of the micro-components which enable its unique time indications to come alive and the piece has the exclusivity of a production strictly limited to just 28 pieces.

The piece carries a 42mm x 50mm Grade 5 Titanium case upon which skilful sand-blasted and satin-brushed finished have been executed, enhancing its profile.  Wrapping itself around the case, a massive sapphire crystal reveals the anatomy of the in-house calibre and the composition of the indications.

Beneath this vitreous housing, lies a dial characterised by stunning contrasts.  At its centre, a generous arc for the retrograde minutes demands attention.  Just beneath it, a minimalist, open-worked indication keeps check on the impressive 45 hour power reserve.

At the centre of the retrograde minutes display, a logo-inscribed hub is secured with three visible screws.  While the little arrow-head pointer of the retrograde minutes display has a resolutely gentle action, in contrast, the hub bursts into a flurry of animated activity the instant the arrow-head minutes pointer reaches the 60-minute mark, as it spins vigorously, in order to regulate the hour-change mechanism

In opposition to this frantic motion, the signature Hautlence half-trailing hour display on the upper left quadrant of the dial enables a compelling and poetic view of the transition of time.  Here the hour digits, which are placed on individual

pallets on a twelve-link track, advance in a satisfyingly slow pace, enabling the wearer to appreciate the surprisingly moderate changeover, which takes 3-4 seconds. Complementing the avant-garde personality of the HL2.4, the indications have been enhanced with striking blue Super LumiNova®.

Adding drama to this fascinating façade, the entire balance and escapement assembly which is mounted on a mobile bridge is fully revealed on the left-hand side.  Rotating in sync with the hour track and passing through 60° each time, it provides an exquisite carrousel panorama as it rotates four times every 24 hours.  Elsewhere, a graduated indicator on the lower dial keeps check on the impressive 40 hour power reserve.

The piece is powered by the in- Hautlence HL 2.2 automatic calibre, which has been engineered to carry the unusual indications and kinematic features of the watch without any loss of power which would impact on accuracy. Beating at 18,000vph it utilises two barrels - a primary barrel which is fed directly from the automatic winding system, which then distributes power to a secondary barrel which is devoted to driving the complex functions.

Forming part of the acclaimed Hautlence Concepts D’Exception Collection, this Hautlence HL 2.4 Ref H1370-0502 comes presented on a hand-stitched large-scale Louisiana alligator leather strap.
