HAUTLENCE HL VAGABONDE TOURBILLON 02

A stunning wristwatch which encapsulates the inventive spirit of contemporary Haute Horlogerie, the Hautlence HL Vagabonde Tourbillon 02 features a fascinating display of the passage of time.  The cutting-edge aesthetic of this exclusive ten-piece edition is complemented by the inclusion of a technically challenging flying tourbillon, adding finesse to a dial arrangement of unparalleled uniqueness.

The HL Vagabonde Tourbillon features a 39mm x 46mm TV-screen watchcase, so-named because it recalls the profile of retro television screens.  Crafted from red gold of 5N purity, this case shape evokes a powerful wrist presence, while also providing a generous opening for the dial.  Accentuated by contrasting satin and polished finishes, the case is also equipped with an elegant, stepped bezel.

Beneath the extra-hard bevelled sapphire crystal, an extraordinary dial arrangement awaits.  Here, on a background which has been meticulously micro blasted, one is confronted by a unique system of discs, set on two levels, and the eye-pleasing complexity of a flying tourbillon.

Working in unison, the four centrally aligned discs enable a novel method of indicating the hours and minutes and their layout ensures that the façade of this model has a beautifully balanced aesthetic.

The largest disc, at the centre, is made from sapphire with blue PVD accents and it features a technical open-worked honeycomb pattern at its middle section. Orbiting around it, three smaller satellite discs take up position.

The minutes are read on the central disc via 5N red gold double-digit numerals, exposed in a 240° sector that revolves around the dial. As it completes its trajectory, it aligns the 00 indicator with one of the three hour discs. With precise, mechanical orderliness, the correct hour disc aligns to indicate the current hour, visible through an aperture.

Enhancing the architecture of this highly contemporary disc arrangement, a full exposé of a superb one-minute flying tourbillon on the lower dial serves as a reminder that this cutting-edge timepiece has a resolutely mechanical heartbeat.

The watch is powered by the Hautlence HTL 405-1 self-winding calibre which beats at 21,600vph. Based on the HMC 804 automatic movement of the brands’ sister-company H. Moser & Cie., this synergistic alliance has engendered a calibre equipped with a bi-directional winding system, which enables an ample three days of power reserve

Revealed through a sapphire section in the caseback, the meticulous fine finishing on the calibre can be appreciated.  And, adhering to the styling codes of the façade of the model, the rotor is enhanced by a honeycomb pattern.

The Hautlence HL Vagabonde Tourbillon 02 comes presented on a blue Louisiana alligator leather strap secured to the wrist by a folding clasp made from Grade 5 Titanium with a 5N satin-finished red gold plate, engraved with the Hautlence Infinity emblem.
