HAUTLENCE HL TI

The Hautlence HL Ti watch demonstrates the creativity and technical mastery of the youthful Independent Watchmaking brand, whose name takes inspiration from the heartland of Swiss horology by re-assembling the letters of Neuchâtel in anagrammatic style.  Characterised by the diversity of its time indications and the compelling panorama of its exposed mechanical minutiae, this model offers its wearer a unique wristwatch experience.

Featuring a profile which is synonymous with Hautlence, the watch is housed within a Grade 5 Titanium TV-screen case measuring 37mm x 43.5mm. Fine-brushed and polished finishes enhance its modern architecture, while a generous, trim bezel frames the spectacular dial arrangement which lies beneath the bevelled sapphire crystal.

Capturing the imagination of the wearer in an instant, the dial has been divided into three distinct segments to display the hours, minutes and seconds. Although this trio of displays are resolutely diverse, there is a harmonious balance to be discovered as they work, in unison, to mark the passing of time.

At the upper right, a generous arc for the retrograde minutes dominates.  Here an open-worked hand travels on a scale marked by laser-cut Arabic numerals. Below it, a trailing seconds indication provides constant activity.

When the minutes hand reaches 60, it jumps immediately back to zero.  In alliance with this motion, the semi-opaque sapphire fixed hour disc, located on the left, instantly displays the new hour via a circular aperture.

The dynamic activity of the retrograde minutes and jumping hour display is accompanied by a full exposé of the connecting rod system which enables the change-over, adding to this drama of this impressive façade.

The overall industrial character of the Hautlence HL Ti is underscored by a fully open-worked central section in the hour disc and technical honeycomb elements.  Juxtaposed with this contemporary aesthetic, a glimpse of the exquisite perlage decoration on the mainplate of the calibre which is visible on the dial side, ensures that one can be in no doubt of the Haute Horlogerie credentials of this watch.

The piece is powered by the Hautlence HL manual-winding calibre, comprising of 206 components. Beating at 21,600vph, when fully wound one can expect a power reserve of 40 hours.

Forming part of the brand’s acclaimed Atelier Collection, the Hautlence HL Ti comes presented on a black hand-sewn Louisiana alligator leather strap with large square scales, secured to the wrist by a titanium folding clasp with black DLC-coated plate.
