H. MOSER & CIE. HERITAGE TOURBILLON

One of the most dynamic watch brands in the past decade, from its Schaffhausen base H. Moser & Cie. has a history which goes right back to 1828, and if it’s a company better known today for its cool, contemporary style of Haute Horlogerie, it has another side which is firmly in touch with its past.

A piece of rare and spectacular beauty, the Heritage Tourbillon by H. Moser & Cie. is a magnificent modern day tribute to classical Swiss watchmaking tradition, and a compendium of the artisanal skills which defined the most luxurious pocket watch timepieces of the 18th Century. Painstakingly crafted by hand, these pieces combine mastery and know-how in every aspect of their manufacture and finishing.

Captivating from the first sight, and laced with exquisite detailing throughout the Heritage Tourbillon is elegant and noble, with the irresistible motion of its sophisticated mechanical centrepiece emphasising the horologic mastery within.

With a squat, signed crown, and soldered wire lugs, the 42mm rounded white gold case is flanked with translucent deep blue enamel sections, applied to cover the repeating diamond shaped motif that’s hand engraved around the case side, in an age old decorative technique rarely seen today.

Beneath the flat sapphire crystal the unmistakable glossy sheen of a Grand Feu enamel dial gleams in the purest white, and accentuates the black roman numerals and the fine minutes track around its edge. Slender leaf hands in oxidised blue steel provide contrast and complement the classical styling of the watch face. Inside the round opening the tourbillon with double hairspring is a work of art, and captures the attention as it rotates through its mesmerising sixty second cycle.

Through a sapphire caseback the in-house HMC 804 automatic movement is the modern heartbeat of this classical wristwatch, and its proprietary interchangeable tourbillon a signature of the H. Moser Haute Horlogerie. A solid gold oscillating weight spins silently with every move, above perlage and brushed Geneva stripes, as it maintains the three day power reserve.

Rare and enchanting, the H. Moser & Cie. Heritage Tourbillon is a connoisseur’s timepiece and it’s presented on a glossy blue alligator leather strap with folding clasp.
