H. MOSER & CIE ENDEAVOUR TOURBILLON CONCEPT VANTABLACK

In the signature styling of a brand which takes the meaning of Swiss Made to its purest essence, the new Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack by H. Moser & Cie. is a stunning watch which combines austere contemporary design and classical watchmaking tradition. Cool and oozing sophistication with its immaculate lines and Haute Horlogerie finishing throughout, it features a mesmerising mechanical heartbeat which rotates in a darkness that plays a trick on the eye.

Measuring 42mm across and just over 11mm tall, the Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack is encased in polished 18Kt white gold, with sculpted hollows carved around its sides and contours which flow from lug tip to lug tip. Sculpted hollows are carved around its sides and with little more than the distinctive cupcake crown, and without a hint of branding on the dial, it is still unmistakably a H. Moser watch, with its clean and elegant form.

Beneath a gently domed sapphire crystal the slender leaf shaped hands appear to float above the total blackness of the extraordinary Vantablack dial. A material invented out of the requirements of science and aviation Vantablack is a fragile coating of tens of thousands of miniscule nanotubes, which together absorb almost entirely, rather than reflect, light. The result is an effect which is so black it is void-like, and without a single marking or lettering, which defines the Moser Concept editions, one which is eye catching and very cool.

The blackness and purity of the dial accentuates the exquisite flying tourbillon as it too rotates in strange suspension and dominates the lower half of the dial. Featuring the company’s Straumann Double Hairspring and using lightweight aluminium in its construction, it is beautifully finished and animates the dial as it rotates every sixty seconds.

Underneath, the sapphire caseback provides a view of the HMC 806 automatic movement and the solid gold oscillating weight which spins silently with every move, above perlage finishing and brushed double Geneva stripes. With its proprietary interchangeable modular tourbillon another signature of the H. Moser & Cie., it is testament to the company’s innovative, in-house approach to Haute Horlogerie watchmaking as well as emphasising its uncompromising standards of workmanship. Beating at 21’600 vib/h it has a minimum of three full days power reserve.

A superb watch of pristine sophistication from a vanguard for independent watchmaking in Switzerland, the new Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack by H. Moser & Cie. is a masterpiece of contemporary design, flawless execution and technical excellence.
