Graham Silverstone RS Racing Chronograph 2STEA.U05A.K117F

Inspired by the thoroughbreds of motor racing the new Graham Silverstone RS Racing chronograph embodies in spirit and aesthetics this fast moving, high octane world, where speed, colour and drama sets the adrenaline running, and where pinpoint timing accuracy is of paramount importance.

Brimming with motorsport inspired detail throughout with carbon fibre, dashboard-styled numerals and even a brake disc on the dial, the Silverstone RS Racing chronograph is an unashamed tribute to competition and the home of British motor racing.

Weighing in at a hefty 46mm piece of brushed and polished stainless steel, and benefitting from an outgoing blue and yellow colour scheme, the Silverstone RS Racing is certainly not an understated watch. Superbly constructed it has an assuredly solid feel and packs a prominent presence on the wrist.

The powder blue bezel and inner minutes ring have a distinctive glazed appearance thanks to the resin composite from which they have been manufactured. The tachymetre scale on the bezel is clear, and facilitates with precision the speed of a car through two points on the racetrack.

Under the domed sapphire crystal the dark blue dial has a subtle chequered effect, and on it large arabic numerals and pronounced steel hands are coated with orange Super LumiNova for excellent low light legibility of the principal functions.  Two steel ringed recessed subdials are stacked vertically in dashboard style at the 12 and the 6, with the 30 minutes and 12 hour chronograph counters respectively. The small seconds subdial is replaced at the 9 with a cool rotating drilled ‘brake disc’.  The day and date windows are generously sized and highlighted in a blue surround, so as to make sure it’s a practical inclusion on this busy dial.

Behind a sapphire crystal caseback beats Graham’s reliable G1749 automatic self winding movement, delivering energy at a rate of 28,800 vph for up to 48 hours. Visible through the transparent exhibition caseback the drilled rotor revolves above the matte and polished components within.

The Graham Silverstone RS Racing chronograph is presented on an integrated blue tyre tread styled natural rubber strap, and fitted with a steel pin buckle also on a brushed and polished stainless steel link bracelet with folding clasp.
