With their GoS Sarek Ladies Sunset watch Gustafsson and Sjögren unleash their creativity in an entirely new way. With a stunning, dial crafted from luminous mother-of-pearl, the model captures the essence of the fiery Autumnal evening skies over the wild landscape of the Sweden’s Sarek National Park. Visually stunning in every respect this elegant timepiece boasts individuality and peerless craftsmanship.
Master Bladesmith, Johan Gustafsson and Master Watchmaker, Patrik Sjögren are the creative driving force behind GoS watches. By combining their diverse skills, the duo has engendered a portfolio rich with imaginative, meticulously crafted watch collections. The design of each GoS watch takes inspiration from the ancestral styling codes of the founders and their intimate connection with nature.
The Gos Sarek Ladies Sunset watch carries a hand-crafted mother-of-pearl dial which evokes a warm shade of pink. The uncluttered façade enables the delicate beauty of this incredibly beautiful material to dominate and with each wrist movement every nuance plays with the light.
Taking style cues from the weaponry and adornments of the Vikings who once ruled supreme in Scandinavia, the tapering spear-shaped form of the hour and minute hands and the brooch-inspired index ring display the company’s affinity with their land’s history.
A high-polish finish on the hour, minutes and seconds hands complies with the sheen of the mother-of-pearl. And, complementing the minimalist dial architecture, numerals are replaced by semi-circular perforations and notches which serve as hour markers. Framing this splendid hand-crafted dial, the textured pattern of the hand-forged Damascus steel bezel adds a dramatic twist.
But, that is not where the drama ends. Super-LumiNova® applied to the underside of the dial shines through the translucent mother-of-pearl. This pioneering technique ensures a dial of matchless originality with the exquisite refinement of a gentle shade of rosy pink by day and hypnotic luminescence in poor light conditions.
The rounded 31.5mm stainless steel case is equipped with a flat sapphire crystal. The crown, which has a high-polished finish, is engraved with the GoS branding. And, accentuating the profile of the case, elliptical grooves on its sides add texture and interest.
On the rear side, a sapphire section in the caseback reveals the Soprod A10 automatic movement. Here one can admire the GoS Triskele rotor and the additional hand-finished German Silver counterweight engraved with the script,“Sunset”. Declaring the hand-crafted originality of the Damascus steel forging process and the natural beauty of the dials, each model is engraved with “Sarek 1/1” in addition to the serial number, denoting its exclusivity.
The GoS Sarek Sunset watch comes presented on a hand-crafted moose leather strap fitted with a stainless steel deployant clasp featuring the GoS logo.
