Corum Bubble Art Drop Stainless steel/ Brown PVD

Corum Bubble Art Drop Stainless steel/ Brown PVD L082/02848

Corum’s iconic Bubble watch is back! A brand which has always been avant-garde in their outlook to their watchmaking, imaginative and uncompromising design has been part of their ethos since the company was founded in 1955.  For their series of Bubble watches, Corum have allowed their design department to unleash their creativity to its fullest, resulting in a collection which has an unprecedented artistic appeal, and which first time around left a lasting impression.

The Corum Bubble watch is characterised by the massive sapphire crystal which rises up 8 mm high.  Styled to recall high-domed dive watches from the 1960’s, this phenomenal feature has given the collection instantly recognisable aesthetics and has earned it iconic status within the watch industry and bestowed upon it an outgoing, fun personality.

Naturally, such a bold and exaggerated feature lends itself extremely well to artistic dial design, such as the original example found on this limited edition Bubble Art Drop model.

Corum teamed up with and industrial designer, Nicolas Le Moigne to create the Bubble Drop model, and the result of this talented union is a timepiece which abounds with character and uniqueness.

Immediately, the furrows and shadows on the ripple-effect dial command attention, recalling the displacement which occurs when a droplet of water breaks the surface.  The use of rich autumnal tones of brown enhances the detailing.

When viewed side-on, the lens effect of the domed sapphire transforms everything. The crystal acts like a lens, magnifying and distorting the features of the dial giving an entirely different aspect to this stunning 3D dial.

In harmony with the seductive curve of the sapphire, the case has a rounded profile, with brushed and polished surfaces then receiving a coating of brown PVD giving it a warm, muted appearance. Clever lug design and a brown leather/rubber sandwich strap ensures that it will fit snugly and wear easily on the wrist.

Housed within the 47mm case, this Corum Bubble Art Drop model is equipped with the beautifully finished mechanical Swiss CO082 automatic self winding movement, viewable through its sapphire case back.

The compelling architecture of its exceptional dial, together with the sophistication of its mechanical movement make this Bubble Drop model a highly desirable proposition for aficionados of fine watchmaking who value uniqueness  and exclusivity.

The Corum Bubble Art Drop is released in an edition of only 350 pieces and is supplied brand new in box with manufacturer’s warranty.
