In a style typical of their portfolio, the piece is equipped with an exceptionally accurate moonphase mechanism, and for this exclusive edition, the indication is displayed in a particularly exquisite setting.   

The watch is presented in a 38mm rounded case of 18ct. white gold with a height of 10.44mm.  Promising fiery resplendence with every subtle movement of the wrist, its bezel, horns and crown have been embellished with 90 brilliant-cut white diamonds.

Adhering to the opulent styling codes of the case, the dial of the watch is magnificent. Immediately the eye is drawn to the generous aperture between 10 and 2 o’clock where the phase of the moon is displayed upon a shimmering sliver of mother-of-pearl, rendered in graduating shades of white to blue, on which the twinkling constellations have been hand-painted. Overlaid on the delicate mother-of-pearl is a fine layer of blue aventurine with painstakingly worked lace-like cut-outs. The piece has two lunar discs, each set with an abundance of ruthenium crystals. As one disc appears within the aperture to complete the current phase of the moon, the promise of the next moonphase is revealed, glittering beneath the cut-outs of the dial. Adding further opulence, at the 8 o’clock location, fragments of blue and white mother-of-pearl, together with individually chosen and set diamonds and blue and pink sapphires in various cuts, form the outline of a sumptuous star motif. In a final flourish, the passage of the hours and minutes is indicated via diamond-set hour markers and finely tipped, faceted hands.

A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the decoration and hand finishing which has been applied throughout the A&S1612 manual winding movement. A technical masterpiece, which has a depth of only 4.95mm, it boasts a moonphase so accurate that if the watch is kept constantly wound, it will maintain an accuracy of 122 years. Equipped with a 90 hour power reserve, it is impeccably finished with radiating stripes of Côtes de Genève on the mainplate, polished and chamfered bridges, and circular brushed wheels. The Perpetual Moon 38 Eclipse I watch by Arnold and Son is presented on a satin-feel blue alligator leather strap, with satin-feel fuchsia alligator leather lining, secured with an 18ct. white gold pin buckle set with 22 brilliant-cut white diamonds.
